MIT MEDIA LAB | The Dreaming of Bones

Based on the ancient Greek poetry of Sappho, The Dreaming of Bones welcomes an audience to the world of silence. Dancer Megumi Eda and deaf sound artist Christine Sun Kim use two forms of visual language to communicate the haunting effect of passion on the body. American sign language and contemporary dance come together to depict dreamlike fragments of Sappho’s lyric poetry.
